US Tariffs
New tariffs were announced last week on imports into the United States that have the potential to
disrupt both two-way trade and the supply of products into third country markets.
Scales Group sales from exports to the United States in FY2024 were less than 10% of Group
revenue and are expected to be lower than this in FY2025.
Whilst work is ongoing on clarifying the implementation of the tariffs and the implications for Scales’
businesses, the impact on earnings is currently expected to be minimal and there is no change to
current earnings guidance for FY2025.
Scales will continue to monitor the consequences of tariffs in the international trading environment
and utilise its geographical spread to try and mitigate effects as much as possible.
