Kiwi Property appoints GM Capital Transactions
Kiwi Property today announced the appointment of Shaun Reed to the new role of GM
Capital Transactions, effective immediately.
Shaun has been with Kiwi Property since 2022, most recently serving as Head of Capital
Transactions, and previously as Investment Director. During this time, he has led major
initiatives including Kiwi Property’s investment in Mackersy Property and the recent sale
of The Plaza.
With more than 20 years’ experience in real estate investment and funds management,
Shaun has held senior leadership roles at LaSalle Investment Management in the UK,
where he managed large UK pension fund portfolios and oversaw strategic capital
transactions. Prior to that, Shaun held investment and valuation roles at AMP Capital
and CBRE, specialising in deal execution and portfolio strategy.
The GM Capital Transactions role will focus on driving strategic capital initiatives,
including portfolio transactions, joint ventures, and partnerships that support the
company’s mixed-use development strategy.
Elevating this role to the executive team reflects its critical importance to the
company’s growth ambitions and signals opportunities for increased transactional
activity.
Kiwi Property CEO, Clive Mackenzie, says: "We are pleased to welcome Shaun to the
Kiwi Property executive leadership team. His deep expertise in capital transactions and
proven track record in delivering complex deals will be instrumental as we continue to
execute our strategy and position the business for long-term growth."
Following the recent resignation of Chief Financial Officer Steve Penney, Kiwi Property
has commenced recruitment for a new CFO and will provide updates on this process in
due course.
