Ventia secures extension of
Defence Maintenance Contract
Ventia Services Group Limited (ASX:VNT) announces a one-year extension of its Defence
Maintenance Contract (DMC) with the Department of Defence, valued at $107 million.
The extension will be effective from 1 December 2028 with options to extend for a further four years.
This reinforces the Department of Defence’s continued confidence in Ventia’s ability to support the
Australian Defence Force units preparing for and returning from operations and exercises.
Under the DMC contract Ventia delivers integrated, large-scale support for Defence, covering the
repair and maintenance of some of Australia’s most advanced equipment, including tanks, surveillance
systems, marine craft and protected mobility vehicles, alongside the operation of a 24/7 nationwide
vehicle and equipment recovery service. The team has demonstrated significant surge capability to
ensure operational readiness, consistently maintaining asset availability above 95% during high-tempo
operations.
