TruScreen Group Limited (NZX/ASX: TRU), (“TruScreen” or “the Company”), a global leader in AI-enabled

cervical cancer screening, is pleased to announce that distributors are appointed for Nigeria, Ghana, Cote

D’Ivoire and Rwanda – launching the Company’s African expansion and supporting government initiatives to

offices in Lagos, Enugu and other major cities. ZPC brings to TruScreen’s African expansion strategy its

internal commercial team and an established network of sub-distributors across Nigeria and West Africa,

with strong government relationships.

Nigerian product regulatory approval is expected to take 3-6 months, and preparations are underway for a

300-patient clinical evaluation. The data collected from the evaluation will support the application for

TruScreen’s inclusion in the Nigerian national screening guideline and government screening programs.

In addition to the two major African public screening projects pending UNITAID grant approvals in November

2026, TruScreen is also the chosen screening technology for two Nigeria specific grant applications,

submitted by Dr Ayokunle Olumodeji from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and Lagos State

University College of Medicine (LASUCOM) and supported by the American Association for Cancer Research.

These grant applications are:

1. Gates Foundation’s Grand Challenges: Innovations in Cost-Disruptive Tools for Diagnosis and

Screening (OPP12345) program - announced 6 May 2026.

2. Beginning Investigator Grant for Catalytic Research (BIG Cat).

Nigeria, Ghana and Cote Côte d'Ivoire are committed to meeting the WHO 70% screening target by 2030 and

of the need to accelerate their screening programs to achieve this. In Nigeria a s few as 5% of women aged

30–49 years

1

were screened- a long way from meeting the WHO 70% target. In Ghana, only 4.3% of women

aged 30–49 years were screened for cervical cancer and in Côte d'Ivoire are 4.4% of women aged 25–49

screened (2021)

.

Rwanda

4.3 million women of screening age.

Biotech Medical Supply Ltd (BMS) focuses on women’s health, oncology, and preventive screening. BMS has

participated in cervical cancer screening programs for government-led and NGO-supported initiatives and

has 25 active sales representatives covering public and private healthcare facilities across Rwanda. BMS have

strong relationships with government, NGOs, institutions, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare

providers.

BMS has introduced the TruScreen technology to the Minister of Health and government officials at a recent

Product registration is in place, and three major government hospitals have completed a pilot study with

positive results.

Rwanda is one of Africa's leaders in cervical cancer elimination with estimates of 30% of eligible women being

screened by October 2025 – with a further 40% to be screened to achieve the WHO 70% target by 2030.

TruScreen’s African Strategy

These distributor appointments further accelerate TruScreen’s African strategic expansion.

Together with the UNITAID, Gates Foundation and Clinton Health Access Initiative grant applications

submitted in early 2026, TruScreen is growing its distribution network to potentially provide screening services

in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Eswatini, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Kenya by 2027, in

collaboration with global and local NGOs, including:

• National AIDS Council (NAC), Zimbabwe

• PATH - Global technical partner (Program for Appropriate Technology in Health )

• Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR)

CEO Martin Dillon comments:

“The screening requirements and market opportunities in Africa is huge. TruScreen technology is well

suited and positioned to support cervical cancer prevention initiatives in countries where laboratory

infrastructure, pathology services and capacity remain insufficient, cervical cancer incidence and

mortality is highest, and where the gap to meet the 70% WHO screening target is greatest.”

This announcement has been approved by the Board.

Glossary:

Pap smear (the Papanicolaou smear) test involves gathering a sample of cells from the cervix, with a special

brush. The sample is placed on a glass slide or in a bottle containing a solution to preserve the cells. Then it

is sent to a laboratory for a pathologist to examine under a microscope. https://www.cancer.net/navigating-

cancer-care/diagnosing-cancer/tests-and-procedures/pap-test

LBC (the liquid-based cytology) test, transfers a thin layer of cells, collected with a brush from the cervix, onto

a slide after removing blood or mucus from the sample. The sample is preserved so other tests can be done

at the same time, such as the human papillomavirus (HPV) test https://www.cancer.net/cancer-

types/cervical-cancer/diagnosis

HPV (human papilloma virus) test is done on a sample of cells removed from the cervix, the same sample

used for the Pap test or LBC. This sample is tested for the strains of HPV most commonly linked to cervical

cancer. HPV testing may be done by itself or combined with a Pap test and/or LBC. This test may also be done

on a sample of cells which a person can collect on their own. https://www.cancer.net/cancer-types/cervical-

cancer/screening-and-prevention

Sensitivity and specificity mathematically describe the accuracy of a test which reports the presence or

absence of a condition. If individuals who have the condition are considered "positive" and those who don't

are considered "negative", then sensitivity is a measure of how well a test can identify true positives and

specificity is a measure of how well a test can identify true negatives:

• Sensitivity (true positive rate) is the probability of a positive test result, conditioned on the

individual truly being positive.

• Specificity (true negative rate) is the probability of a negative test result, conditioned on the

individual truly being negative (Sensitivity and specificity – Wikipedia).
