Ankush Nandra

Ankush Nandra was appointed to the Board of The Bankers Investment Trust PLC as a Non-Executive Director effective 1 September 2023. He also serves as Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee. Ankush is a Chemistry graduate from the University of Oxford who qualified as a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with KPMG. He has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. He spent 16 years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) based in the UK, US, and Australia, serving as CFO for the Australia & New Zealand business, CFO for Global R&D, and leading the Corporate Development group on M&A initiatives. Since August 2015, Ankush has been at AstraZeneca, where he currently serves as Senior Vice President, Group Planning and Finance Business Partnering, leading Planning and Business Performance across the enterprise. He previously held the role of VP Finance & CFO for the International Region and Europe. Prior to GSK, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at HSBC Investment Bank. Ankush is also a Non-Executive Director of AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited and a Non-Executive Director and Governor of Oxford Brookes University, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
