Emma was appointed a director of the Company on 9 June 2016 and has served as director of Michael Hill's listed entity since 22 February 2007. She served as Deputy Chair of the Group from 2011 until 2015 when she was appointed Chair. Emma stepped down from the Chair role in June 2021. Emma has over 30 years' experience with subsidiaries of the Company commencing on the shop floor in Whangarei, New Zealand. She held a number of management positions in the Australian company before successfully leading the expansion of the Group into Canada as Retail General Manager in 2002.
