Lain Jager brings extensive international agribusiness leadership experience through his former role as CEO of Zespri International, the world's largest marketer of kiwifruit. During his nine years as CEO from 2008 to 2017, he developed a successful global growth strategy that significantly increased revenue and profitability. Under his leadership, Zespri grew to distribute in more than 50 countries with revenue of NZ$4.2bn and operating profit of NZ$230m. Since stepping down from Zespri in 2017, Lain has focused on private business interests including personal investments in entrepreneurial, technology and agriculture-related businesses. He serves as a director on numerous boards spanning agriculture, technology, and investment companies. Based in New Zealand, Lain brings valuable expertise in building global brands, international market development, and agribusiness strategy.
