Nathan was appointed as a Director of Westpac New Zealand in November 2025. He is also a member of the Board Risk and Compliance Committee. He was appointed Westpac Group's Chief Financial Officer in October 2025, and is responsible for Westpac's Finance, Group Audit, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Strategy and Corporate Development functions. Nathan joined Westpac from National Australia Bank, where he was Group Chief Financial Officer. He has more than 20 years' experience in financial services, having started his career at NAB in mergers and acquisitions before moving into investment banking. He rejoined NAB in 2013 and held various roles across strategy, innovation, corporate affairs and mergers and acquisitions. He joined the Executive Leadership Team in April 2020 and was named Chief Financial Officer in 2023.
