Ron is an investor and strategic consultant in the financial services sector in both Asia and Europe. His long career in investment management and banking led to extensive work as a government advisor in both the UK and Asia. He established the Greater China/Asia business of the Promontory Financial Group, leading efforts to improve governance, risk control and regulatory effectiveness for financial companies in Asia from a base in China. Prior to his work with Promontory, he was Chief Executive of Chi-X Asia, successfully developing new market trading venues across the Asian region. Ron was Senior Adviser to the UK Financial Services Authority and remains a government adviser in several jurisdictions. He was Chief Executive Officer of investment bank ABG Sundal Collier, Managing Director of AXA Investment Managers and Vice Chairman of Barclays Bank asset management activities.
