Attached is Meridian Energy Limited's monthly operating report for the month ended 28 February 2017.
Highlights this month include:
 In the month to 12 March 2017, national hydro storage decreased from 120% to 106% of historical
average
 South Island storage sat at 100% of average and North Island storage at 153% of average on 12
March 2017
 Meridian’s February 2017 monthly inflows were 102% of historical average
 Meridian’s Waitaki catchment storage at the end of February 2017 was 114% of historical average
 National electricity demand in February 2017 was 2.4% lower than the same month last year
 2016 was a leap year and on a daily demand basis, February 2017 had the highest level of daily
demand seen in any February month
 Meridian’s retail sales volumes in February 2017 increased by 4.6% compared to February 2016
