MOA DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT


Moa Brewing (NZX;MOA ) today announces the addition of Rich Frank to the board as an Independent director.


Mr. Frank recently became an investor in Moa. He is US-based and has extensive experience in beverage. Founding

Frank Family Vineyards in 1992, which is now one of the most successful independent wineries in the Napa Valley

selling across the US and to multiple export destinations.


Mr. Frank was also an investor and board member in New Zealand businesses Trilogy International and 42 Below.


Moa Executive Chairmen Geoff Ross states, 'Rich brings a wealth of international business experience to the Moa

board. He has a very strategic view and more than 25 years of experience in the branding, distribution and sales of

wine that will assist in our international development'.


Frank was Chairman of Walt Disney Television and Telecommunications and headed Disney’s syndication arm

Buena Vista. He was then President of Walt Disney Studios for nearly a decade and oversaw the development of

The Disney Channel. Prior to his tenure at Disney, Rich was President of the Paramount Television Group, President

of Chris Craft Television, one of the founders of the USA Network, and also served on their board. Under Frank’s

leadership, television and movie properties such as "Cheers," "Taxi," "Family Ties," "Shogun," "Winds of War,"

"Entertainment Tonight," "Golden Girls," "Home Improvement," "Ellen," "Mork and Mindy," "Dead Poet’s Society,"

"Good Morning Vietnam," "Pretty Woman," "Father of the Bride," "Aladdin" and "The Lion King" achieved

phenomenal success. Rich graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, before moving to New York

to work at BBDO Ad agency, then to Los Angeles to work at KTLA and KCOP.

Rich was President of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for an unprecedented six years, a board member

of the MPAA for eight years and is currently Vice Chairman and Executive Board Member of the American Film

Institute. In 2011, he received an Honorary Doctorate degree from the American Film Institute (AFI), along with

Helen Mirren and Spike Lee. He is a recipient of the Television Academy’s Syd Cassy Founders Award, only the

eighth time the Academy bestowed this prestigious honour.

In 1992 he founded Frank Family Vineyards, which is today comprised of more than 380 acres of the finest vineyard

land in Napa Valley and one of the biggest word-of-mouth followings in California wine. Frank Family Vineyards has

become a household name for lovers of premium Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Frank Family

is the only winery to have been awarded “Winery of the Year” twice by the Connoisseurs’ Guide to California

Wine—first in 2012 and more recently in 2017. It consistently ranks in the top ten wines poured in U.S. restaurants

in Wine & Spirits Magazine’s annual restaurant poll.
