Kiwi Property appoints Simon Shakesheff as a

Non-Executive Director

Kiwi Property is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Shakesheff to its Board

as a Non-Executive Director, commencing 1 November 2019.

Simon is a recognised leader in Australia’s property finance sector, with a 30-year

executive career spanning several of the country’s most prolific property groups and

investment banks. He is currently Non-Executive Director of both Cbus Property and

Assembly Funds Management, as well as a consultant to the New South Wales

Treasury Corporation.

Prior to commencing his governance career, Simon was Group Executive, Strategy,

Stakeholder Relations and Research at Stockland. Before that, he was Managing

Director, Head of Australian Real Estate Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill

Lynch, and Managing Director, Co-Head of Australian Real Estate Investment Banking

at UBS Australia. Simon previously spent 19 years as an equities analyst, including as

Executive Director, Head of Real Estate Analysis at J.P Morgan Australia and Executive

Director, Head of Real Estate Analysis, Macquarie Equities at Macquarie Bank.

Kiwi Property Chair, Mark Ford, says Simon’s wealth of property analysis and advisory

experience will be invaluable, as the Board continues to oversee the implementation of

the company’s new mixed-use strategy.

“Simon had an exceptional executive career and has emerged as an equally strong

director. He brings proven expertise in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions,

and debt and equity finance. I’m looking forward to him making an immediate impact

to the Kiwi Property Board as we continue delivering upon our strategic objectives for

investors,” says Mark.

In accordance with NZX Listing Rule 2.6.1, the Board has determined Simon is an

independent director having had regard to the non-exhaustive factors described in the

NZX Corporate Governance Code.
