ALLOTMENT OF SHARES

The Company announces the allotment of 50,000 ordinary shares of 25p each. These shares
were issued yesterday from the shares held in treasury, at a price of 1014.0p per share. The
total number of ordinary shares in issue is 123,945,292.


The total number of voting rights in the Company is 30,651,695 (1 vote for every 4 shares
held). This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by
which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their
interest in, The Bankers Investment Trust PLC under the FCA’s Disclosure and
Transparency Rules.
