NZ RegCo (“RegCo”) advises that, at the request of the company, it has placed a trading halt on
Contact Energy Limited (“CEN”) Ordinary Shares. The trading halt was placed pre-market open
this morning.
The trading halt has been put in place while CEN undertakes the placement component of a
capital raise.
The trading halt will remain in place until the earlier of:
a) An announcement made by the issuer about successf ul completion of the placement; or
b) Market open on Wednesday, 17 February 2021.
