Change in Senior Manager

Pursuant to NZX Listing Rule 3.20.1(a), Heartland Group Holdings Limited (Heartland) (NZX/ASX:
HGH) is today announcing a change to its Strategic Management Group. Laura Byrne, Chief
Operating Officer, has signalled her intention to leave Heartland before the end of the year.

On behalf of the Board and staff of the Heartland Group, Chief Executive Jeff Greenslade wished
Laura well for the future.

“Laura has been a core part of the Heartland leadership team for 8 years, holding a variety of roles
including General Counsel, Chief People & Culture Officer and most recently as Chief Operating
Officer. Laura has made a significant contribution to our journey and we are sad that she is leaving,
however, we wish her all the best in her future plans.”

Heartland will consider its longer term requirements and will provide a further market update prior
to Laura’s departure.
