Christine O’Reilly to join the ANZ Board

The Chairman of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) Paul O’Sullivan
today announced that Christine O’Reilly will join the ANZ Board on 1 November 2021 as a
non-executive director, subject to meeting regulatory requirements.

Ms O’Reilly is one of Australia’s leading non-executive directors and currently serves on the
boards of BHP, Medibank Private, Stockland and The Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute. She
has previously been a non-executive director of CSL, Transurban and Energy Australia.

Prior to this, Ms O’Reilly held executive roles in the infrastructure and financial services
industries. This includes being CEO of GasNet Australia and Co-Head of Unlisted
Infrastructure Investments at Colonial First State Global Asset Management and follows an
early career including investment banking and audit experience at Price Waterhouse.

Commenting on the appointment Mr O’Sullivan said: “Christine is one of Australia’s most
experienced company directors and I know she will make a valued contribution to ANZ and
our shareholders.

“Christine has had broad exposure to the financial services industry as well as extensive
experience in domestic and offshore companies. We look forward to Christine joining the
Board in November,” Mr O’Sullivan said.

Following her appointment, Ms O’Reilly will stand for election as a Director at ANZ’s Annual
General Meeting on 16 December 2021.
