New contract bolsters Scott Technology appliance business 
 
21 October 2021 – Scott Technology Limited (NZX: SCT) today announced the signing of a multi‐million 
dollar contract to deliver an automation solution for a US‐based, leading global appliance 
manufacturer. 
 
The NZ$20 million project will see the development of a fully automated, high‐quality, appliance 
production line. It
 will feature high volume production capabilities, advanced diagnostics, model 
change‐on‐the‐fly and mixed batch production.  
 
Scott Technology CEO, John Kippenberger says, “We’re delighted to secure this significant contract 
with one of our existing and important customers, a global leader in the branded white goods sector. 
This is a 
great example of our Scott 2025 strategy in action; as we continue to build long‐term customer 
partnerships which delivers proven, efficient technology solutions across multiple plants in the United 
States.  It is also further recognition that the technology coming out of Scott’s New Zealand design 
and build base remains highly
 competitive against global competition”. 
 
The design and build will take place at Scott’s appliance Centre of Excellence based in Christchurch, 
New Zealand, and installed in the customer’s North American manufacturing plant.  
 
Work will commence on the project immediately with anticipated delivery late 2022.
