Emerging Director Appointed

Turners Automotive Group (NZX/ASX: TRA) announced today that Lauren Quaintance has been

appointed into an Emerging Director role. Lauren is an award-winning journalist and media executive

turned entrepreneur and content marketer. Most recently, she has been the co-founder and Managing

Director of Storyation a leading digital content marketing agency with offices in Auckland and Sydney.

Storyation was named an Australian Financial Review Fast Starter – one of the 100 fastest growing

businesses in Australia - and was sold to ASX-listed NewsCorp Australia in late 2019. Lauren was

named Entrepreneur of the Year at the B&T Women in Media Awards in Australia.

Lauren has also had an extensive career within media, having worked for Fairfax Media (now Nine

Entertainment Company) in Australia in senior management positions including General Manager and

Managing Editor. She previously worked for The Sunday Times in London and edited some of the

highest-circulating magazines in Australasia, including the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Weekend

magazine and Metro magazine in Auckland.

“We are very excited to be able to bring Lauren into the Turners Automotive Group team and given our

strong focus on digital investments and capability we are very confident Lauren is going to add

enormous value to the organisation,” said Turners chairman Grant Baker. “We think her journalistic

pedigree combined with digital marketing experience and entrepreneurial bent fits well with the

Turners direction and culture.”

“The Emerging Director role is an excellent way of building board talent, knowledge and expertise and

ensuring there is a succession plan in place when required.”

“I am really looking forward to building on my governance skills and working with a company with such

strong heritage. The company has made strong push into digital and I am looking forward to helping

the team enhance and develop this thinking further to deliver real benefits for customers and drive

value for shareholders,” said Quaintance.
