Director Appointments and
Governance Update


PGG Wrightson Limited* (PGW) announced today that, Joo Hai Lee who is the current Deputy Chair,
will step into the role of Chair from 1 July 2022 following the retirement of Rodger Finlay.
Mr Lee noted that “from 1 July 2022 two new director appointments will be made with Garry Moore and
Meng Foon joining the PGW Board. The Board has confidence that the appointments of Garry Moore
and Meng Foon will add complementary skills and depth to the PGW Board table, and it has been
determined that both will join as independent directors.”
Garry Moore will join the Audit Committee. Garry brings a wealth of finance knowledge with over 40
years extensive trustee and corporate governance experience in rural services, viticulture and pastoral
farming etc. He has specialist strength in corporate governance (finance and audit) and risk
management and recently retired from managing the Christchurch Branch of Forsyth Barr Limited. Garry
is Chair of Dairy Cool Limited and farm owner Burnett Valley Trust, a director of Debt Discounting (NZ)
Limited and a member of the national Forsyth Barr Investment Committee.
Meng Foon brings a diverse range of experience to the Board having held a number of senior public
service appointments over an extensive career. He is currently the New Zealand Race Relations
Commissioner and was previously Mayor of Gisborne District Council for 18 years. He is entrepreneurial
by nature and has operated businesses in the horticultural and agricultural sectors.
Following these appointments, the PGW Board will comprise of the following non-executive directors:
Joo Hai Lee, Chair and Audit Committee member
Sarah Brown, Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair
Garry Moore, Independent Director and Audit Committee member
U Kean Seng, Director
Dr Charlotte Severne, Independent Director
Meng Foon, Independent Director
