Completion of Allied Express Transaction
On 22 August 2022, Freightways announced it had entered into a transaction with Allied
Express Transport Pty Ltd (Allied Express) and its shareholders to provide a significant entry
point to the Australian market for Freightways’ Express Package Division.
Freightways is pleased to announce that the transaction completed today. Freightways’ Chief
Executive Officer, Mark Troughear, said “We are pleased to have completed the Allied
Express transaction and look forward to working alongside the Allied Express founder, Colin
McDowell and his team, to grow a scale courier and express freight business in Australia”.
