New Director for Port of Tauranga Limited
Port of Tauranga Limited Chair, Julia Hoare, is pleased to announce the

appointment of Fraser Whineray to the Board.

Fraser will replace Quayside Holdings’ appointee Sir Rob McLeod KNZM.

Fraser joined the Quayside Board on 1 October 2023.

Ms Hoare said Fraser’s strong executive experience, including most

recently as Chief Operating Officer of Fonterra and as a former Chief

Executive of Mercury, brings valuable commercial expertise to the Board

of New Zealand’s largest port.

“Fraser also brings a deep understanding of global trade and supply

chains, and his knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to invest in

building New Zealand’s supply chain capacity and resilience,” she said.

In addition to Fraser’s former senior executive roles, he has held

governance positions with Tilt Renewables, Opus (now WSP) and AgriZero.

Ms Hoare also thanked Sir Rob McLeod for his significant contribution in

his seven years on the Port of Tauranga Board.

“We are grateful for Sir Rob’s insights and expertise and thank him for his

tenure. His commercial acumen and sound judgement have served us

well as we have negotiated many challenges in the past few years.”

In recognition of Sir Rob’s extensive career spanning numerous

professional and governance positions, he received the Judges’

Recognition Award at the 2022 Deloitte Top 200 Awards.

Sir Rob retires from the Board and Fraser joins with effect from 31

October 2023.
