Matthew Gerrie, and the resignation of Chief Product Officer, Joydip Das.

Booking Holdings leader Matthew Gerrie joins Serko as Chief Operating Officer

Serko is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Gerrie as Chief Operating Officer, effective

17 March 2025.

In his role as COO, Mr Gerrie will play a key role in scaling Serko’s global operations, driving growth and

optimising performance across international markets. He will assume Serko’s product responsibilities,

following the resignation of Mr Das.

Serko Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Darrin Grafton said: “Our vision at Serko is to redefine the

way businesses manage travel, and bringing Matthew on board is a crucial step in that journey.

Matthew’s extensive experience at Booking.com and his expertise in strategy, data-driven insights and

global operating models make him the ideal leader to help us scale effectively and drive innovation

across our markets. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the team and look forward to the impact he will

make.”

Mr Gerrie joins Serko from Booking Holdings. He brings a wealth of experience to Serko, having spent

more than 11 years at Booking.com, the flagship brand of Booking Holdings Inc, where he held senior

roles including Vice President of Customer Insights and Senior Director of Marketing Science &

Communication. Most recently, he served as Director of Strategy, Analytics in Global Strategy & Business

Development at Booking Holdings Inc.

Mr Gerrie said: “I’m delighted and excited to be joining Serko at this important stage of its growth journey.

Through my experience working with Serko during its partnership with Booking.com, I’ve witnessed the

company’s innovative approach to solving complex challenges in business travel. The opportunity to

collaborate with such a talented team to achieve scalable growth with data-driven decision-making is an

exciting prospect. I look forward to contributing to Serko’s continued global success and its mission to

build the travel platform of the future.”

Resignation of Chief Product Officer

Serko advises that its Chief Product Officer, Joydip Das, will leave Serko in April 2025.

Mr Grafton said: “Since joining Serko, Joydip has been instrumental in driving our platform strategy and

strengthening the product team and its delivery. His efforts have significantly contributed to the strong

2

momentum we have in these areas. With these foundations in place and at this stage of his career,

Joydip has decided to take a period of sabbatical and to pursue advisory opportunities. We are

grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best for his future.”
