MCK ENTERS INTO NEW LEASE AGREEMENT FOR GRAND MILLENNIUM AUCKLAND
MCK advises that it has entered into a new management lease agreement with CDLHT (BVI) One Ltd
through its wholly owned subsidiary Hospitality Services Limited for a renewed management lease for
Grand Millennium Auckland (“GMA”).
MCK’s Managing Director Stuart Harrison said that it was a pleasing outcome after extensive negotiations
between the parties.
“Grand Millennium Auckland is one of New Zealand’s largest and most important hotels, and we are
looking forward to continuing to have it in our portfolio for the next five years. With conference and
incentive business forecast to increase over time, GMA will complement our other Auckland hotels and
provide MCK with a point of difference in a gateway destination market”, he said.
The new management lease commenced on 24 November 2025 for a term of five years, with an additional
five-year renewal option subject to mutual agreement. The rental framework remains unchanged from the
final year of the previous lease, and the new lease was negotiated on an arm’s length basis and on normal
commercial terms.
With 453 rooms in total, Grand Millennium Auckland is located in the heart of Auckland, close to major
commercial buildings and key convention venues such as the Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall and the
New Zealand International Convention Centre, which is slated to open in early 2026. With its excellent
ballroom and conference facilities, the hotel has recently undergone substantial refurbishment, with
remaining works on track to be completed before the end of 2025. GMA also recently earned the
prestigious Qualmark New Zealand 5-star rating and will also benefit from enhanced connectivity with the
City Rail Link, which is scheduled to open in 2026.
