Chris Gallaher is an experienced business leader who has held senior general and financial management positions in Australasian companies, both publicly listed and privately owned. He was a partner at Arthur Young, Chartered Accountants, and held CEO and CFO roles with a number of large international companies, including CFO and CEO roles at Vector Ltd, CEO of Village Roadshow, and executive positions at Carter Holt Harvey. Prior to retiring from full-time corporate life, he was CFO of Fulton Hogan, a large New Zealand resources-based civil contractor. Chris joined the Pacific Edge Board in July 2016 and was elected Chairman in August 2016. He served as Chairman until his retirement in 2025, having delayed his planned 2024 departure at the Board's request to provide stability during a period of uncertainty over Medicare coverage for Cxbladder tests. He also served as Chairman of Vinlink (Marlborough) Ltd, Carisbrook Holdings Ltd, and Mariposa Holdings Ltd, and as a director of the Highlanders Rugby Club and Good Shepherd (NZ). Chris holds a BCom from the University of Otago, is a Chartered Accountant, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a New Zealand citizen resident in Melbourne.
