Donation data is sourced from party annual returns filed with the Electoral Commission under the Electoral Act 1993. All registered parties must file annual returns disclosing donations received.
Disclosure thresholds: Donations over $1,500 must be named in annual returns. Donations over $15,000 must be disclosed to the Electoral Commission within 10 working days. Overseas donations are capped at $30,000 per donor per year.
Cross-sector badges indicate when a donor also holds an NZX directorship, charity trusteeship, or public sector appointment, enabling transparency of political influence across sectors.
