Board meeting attendance is a key governance metric. Directors have a fiduciary duty to attend meetings and actively participate in board decisions. Consistent absences may indicate overcommitment or lack of engagement with the company.

Data Source

Attendance data is sourced from NZX company annual reports, which disclose the number of board and committee meetings each director was eligible to attend and how many they actually attended.

Understanding the Numbers

• • Meetings Attended: Actual number of meetings attended
• • Attendance %: (Attended ÷ Eligible) × 100
• • Directors appointed mid-year show lower eligible counts (pro-rated)
